In the churchyard beyond
lie the remains of
JOHN MALIPHANT
formerly one of the deacons of this church
who died on September 14th 1847
aged 43 years old

This sign was presented by the Sunday School Teachers and Children in
recognition of the qualities which adorned
the character of their deceased Inspector
For he was a faithful man, and the Lord is loved for his youth
